MIAMI, FL. (March 12, 2021) – EcoSystems today announced the water and energy conservation firm donated more than $6,000 across 12 charities for its end-of-year giving campaign. Among the donations included $2,600 which was used to develop the PT EcoSystems Scholarship with Project T.H.U.G. (Transforming. Hope. and Unifying. Generations.), an organization that targets adolescent black males in their junior year of high school and senior year of middle school.
“We are thrilled to have the support from EcoSystems to establish our first vocational scholarship offering,” shared David Jackson, Director of External Affairs at Project T.H.UG. “The PT EcoSystems Scholarship, awarded to our alumni Fellows pursuing a vocational career, will no doubt make a huge impact on the lives of young men right here in Miami. Our team, and our fellows, are excited to pay this generous act forward.”
“2020 was a year unlike any other—full of challenges for many of us both personally and professionally,” said Richard Lamondin, CEO of EcoSystems and Board Member of Project T.H.U.G. “With that said, we are grateful to have collaborative partners who continue to join us in our ongoing efforts to conserve and make an impact. To demonstrate our gratitude, we chose to pay it forward this past holiday season, developing a scholarship and making charitable donations to organizations that are near and dear to our client’s hearts.”
Of the 12 organizations EcoSystems’ partners selected to receive donations, another notable donation was more than $2,800 to Rebuilding Together Miami-Dade (RTMD), a nonprofit with a mission to repair homes, revitalize communities, and rebuild lives, providing critical home repairs and modifications for owners in need, free of charge.
